Nathan Martin Tennis Masterclass
Steve Storer and the team at Tennis Bendigo presented its second Masterclass on Sunday January 14th 2017.
It was a very successful day, Steve and all the players would like to take this opportunity to thank Nathan Martin for coming to be the Fosterville Gold Tennis Centre. The players that attended gained so much relevant information to assist with the development of their approach to fitness.
The main themes were:

Choices – eating and drinking for tennis and the tennis cool down, this has given the players the opportunity to become more professional with their approach to the fitness side of tennis.

Nathan Martin Bio
Nathan Martin has been at the forefront of worldwide tennis fitness conditioning for the past 16 years. He has helped players of all levels from grand slam champions to social players and school children to reach their potential through improved physical performance, injury reduction and ongoing education.
Nathan has worked on the ATP and WTA circuits since 2000.
Nathan was the long-standing strength and conditioning trainer for Lleyton Hewitt. Spending time preparing him for the Australian summer of tennis for 10 successive years.
Lleyton Hewitt and Nathan also spent time traveling to various tournaments together. During this time Nathan also worked closely with one of Australia’s best coaches in Tony Roche.
From 2000-2002 Nathan worked as head strength and conditioning trainer at the renowned Sanchez Casal tennis centre in Barcelona, and Nathan has been a staff member of the Australian Davis team on two occasions.
Nathan’s achievements also include:
- Co-authored a book called “Building a Tennis Champion”
- Created an App in conjunction with Lleyton Hewitt – “Lleyton Hewitt Tennis Fitness Pro”
- Course facilitator for Tennis Australia (Club Pro) as Head of Tennis Physical Performance at “Scots College” Sydney
- Runs his own Strength and Conditioning Studio in Sydney
- Certificate 3 & 4 Qualified Fitness Trainer
- Level 1 Strength & Conditioning Coach (ASCA)
Nathan’s passion is to see players reach their physical potential through education, application and support. He also believes it is important to put back into the greater tennis community, through the education of coaches, parents and other professionals.
